Sophisticated Shells Shawl

This is the Sophisticated Shells Shawl from July 2008 Crochet! After a rocky start it worked up smoothly.

Life's a Beach...

tote, that is. This pattern is by a fellow Crochetville member, crochetrenee. It worked up easily and I added two firsts to my repetoir: 1) First bag, 2) First beaded project. Come to think of it maybe that's 2008's theme- Firsts! Most of the stuff I've done, atleast since March, I hadn't attempted before. Cool! Anyhow, here it is.

New Stuff

Hi all! It's been awhile, huh? I have been busy. As you can see from my slideshow, 2007 was all about afghans and texture. This year I am trying my hand (not always successfully) at fashion. So here are my latest. First is the Sweet Scallops Shwal, the pattern for which can be found at Lion Brand's website. I decided to add an extra shell to this, which probably wasn't the best idea since I am short. Then I had to frog alot of the length as it was toooo bulky. But here's what I came up with.





The next two are from Annie's Attic book Poncho panache! The first is the Lacy Fans. I had to frog alot of this too. but here is the end result.





Next is the Flower Power poncho. This was my first attempt at using fancy fur. I think it worked.

This slide show contains my finished projects up to 3/3/08, or atleast the ones worthy of showing. I really enjoyed making them and the slide show. Now let's see if this works
